Open lands and our agricultural heritage are critical for our economy, our environment, and our community character. Preserving them requires creativity and commitment.
The Routt County Master Plan concentrates on development and commercial activity in designated areas in order to protect open space and preserve agriculture.
The Master Plan is the community’s vision, and Beth is committed to this vision - including the hard work of balancing this vision with the compelling need for more housing units.
Beth will champion at the local, state, and federal level to fight for the health and sustainability of the Yampa River and to ensure our public land stays public and open for generations.
Beth will ensure the county plays an active role in directly facilitating and working in partnership for increased connectivity between and within our communities. Beth will also improve access to public land and open spaces while respecting the balance between recreational and other uses.
This plan is good for the environment, good for communities and families, and good for Routt County.
